Events on Which Bets are Accepted

Sports and Special Event Betting

Bets are accepted for all sporting events and special events where we specifically advertise acceptance e.g. Football, Golf, Cricket, etc., and will be settled in accordance with the special rules issued for such events. For any eventuality not covered by the special rules, the general terms of our Internet Betting Rules will apply.

Horse Racing

Bets are accepted for horse races held under the rules of the UK Jockey Club , Irish Turf Club or the equivalent International bodies . Bets on horse racing are settled on double result - win only for single and multiple bets. The exceptions where double result does not apply and bets are settled according to the official result are:-

  • A selection taking the wrong course
  • A selection carrying the wrong weight or the jockey failing to weigh in
  • Any antepost bet
  • A forecst or tricast bet
  • A void race
  • Any tote/pari-mutuel bet (eg: french, italian racing)
  • A selection given as the winner in error by the judge
  • A bet placed on the favourite points or distance markets
  • A bet placed in a "without the favourite" market
  • A bet placed in a two runner race or a special match bet or any other special market

            Greyhound Racing

Bets are accepted for selected races in Great Britain and Ireland, and are settled on the official result.

Maximum Winnings

A bet is accepted on the basis that it is the investment of one customer only. The maximum amount that can be won (excluding stake) by one customer in one day's betting regardless of stake is £100,000 or its equivalent in an accepted currency, unless specified otherwise in the individual sport rules.

Acceptance of Bets

Bets must be made by telephone to our call centre. No postal, fax, e-mail,online or telex bets are accepted and if received will be made void, win or lose. Bets will be valid subject to these rules if accepted by the Sean Graham Credit Transaction server..

In the event of any dispute, both you and Sean Graham Credit agree that the Transaction Log Database will act as the final authority in determining the outcome of any claim. It is your responsibility to ensure that details of your bets are correct. Bets cannot be cancelled by the client once the transaction is confirmed. In order to control our liabilities, we reserve the right to notify and close down any duplicate Accounts.

Any relevant details will be transferred to the most active Account held by the Customer. We cannot allow for mistakes or accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in respect of the announcing, publishing or marking of prices, runners or results despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy. We reserve the right to correct obvious errors. We reserve the right to refuse the whole or part of any bet without offering any explanation. Bets other than Ante Post bets (for Ante Post bets, please see Rule 12) will be void if the race or event is abandoned or declared void.

If postponed to another day and overnight declarations stand, then bets stand providing the venue is not altered or the running surface is not altered (e.g. Turf to Dirt / All Weather or vice versa). If the overnight declarations do not stand or the venue is altered or the running surface is altered (e.g. turf to Dirt / all weather or vice versa), bets will be void.

If, for any reason, races are set back to later in the day, the settling of all bets will be governed by the time advertised in The Racing Post (e.g. if you stipulate the 2.00 race and that race is run at 2.30 the bet will stand for the 2.00 race as advertised).

Time of Acceptance

If, for any reason, a bet is inadvertently accepted after the event or match has started and the event in question is not covered by our live betting in the run service (if this is the case then it will be clearly marked as 'Live Betting'), the selection(s) affected will be made void if, at the time the bet was placed, the race or event was resolved or at a stage where the client could have had any indication of the outcome. Where the official 'Off' of a race is not announced, bets are accepted up to the advertised time of the race. Any bet which is accepted later than the advertised time of the race will be void unless we are satisfied that the bet was accepted before the actual 'Off'. In the event of there being a dispute over the time at which a bet was placed, then the time at which it was recorded on the Transactional log will govern the settlement.

Palpable Errors

When an incorrect price is taken due to a palpable error i.e. a technical problem or price entry error, then the bet will be settled at the correct price available at the time the bet was struck, as verified by SIS for live racing, or Sean Graham prices for other early price races and other events. If there is no correct SIS or Sean Graham market available at the time the bet is struck, the selection will be deemed void and stakes returned.

Settlement of Bets

Bets are settled according to the displayed odds/prices at the time the bet is confirmed. For Horse and Greyhound racing only, if prices/odds are not offered or requested, bets are settled at Starting Price returns. Bets are settled to Win unless "Each Way" is selected. An Each Way bet is a bet of twice the selected unit stake. It contains one bet of unit stake on the selection to win, and one bet of unit stake on the selection to "place" according to the terms advertised for the event.
Example:
·1    £10 Each Way - Tiger Woods to win US Masters Win Odds: 9.00 (or 8/1 in fractional odds), Place Terms ¼ of the fractional odds a place 1,2,3,4.

If Tiger Wins, both Win and Place bets are winners: £10 at 9.00 = £90, plus £10 at 3.00 (¼ of 8/1) = £30, Total Returns £120.

For other events on which each way bets are accepted, settlement will be based on the odds and place terms applicable when the bet is taken. These terms are shown on the website. For the purpose of calculation, Each Way Doubles, Trebles etc. are settled as two distinct bets i.e. win on to win and place on to place. n a DEAD HEAT the stake money on a selection is divided by the number of runners involved in the dead heat. The full odds are then paid to the divided stake, with the remainder of the stake money being lost. Where a selection is made void or does not run, then in Single bets the stake will be returned. In accumulative bets the stake will run on to the remaining selection(s) with a Double becoming a Single, a Treble becoming a Double and so on.

Related Contingencies

Multiple bets are not accepted where the outcome of one part of the bet contributes to the outcome of another. If taken in error the stakes will be equally divided where they clash. Example: £10 Double, Henman to win by 3 sets to 1 and to win the match outright is settled as 2 x £5 Singles However, where the related parts of the bet are resolved at different times the bet will be settled as instructed, with the price for the second or subsequent legs being determined at each individual stage.
Example: £10 Double, Henman to win Semi-Final @ 3.50 with Henman to win the tournament outright @ 3.00, is settled as a £10 Double, Henman to win Semi-Final @ 3.50 with the price for Henman to win outright being the odds on offer after winning the Semi-Final. In the event of Henman losing either the Semi-Final or Final, the bet is lost.

Rigging

Where there is evidence of Price, Race, Match or Event rigging, we reserve the right to make bets void or withhold payment of returns pending the outcome of any subsequent investigation.

Claims and Disputes

No claims or disputes will be considered more than 12 weeks after the date of the original transaction. In the first instance, all claims / disputes should be raised with our Customer Service Department at customerservices@seangraham.com. In the event of our Customer Relations representatives being unable to resolve your dispute, it may be submitted to a mutually acceptable recognised body for arbitration and their decision will be final so long as the full facts are presented by all of the parties concerned. A difference of opinion regarding any bet, or the terms on which a bet should be settled, shall not be the subject of litigation, court action or objection to a Bookmaker's Licence or Permit unless the dispute has been adjudicated upon by an arbitrator in accordance with these Rules and the decision of the arbitrator has not been implemented by the relevant party.

          Horse Racing Rules

(Maximum Winnings, £100,000)

Tattersalls' Rules Bets on horseracing are governed by 'Tattersalls' Rules of Betting', and form the basis of these rules. Tattersalls' Rules or an official announcement of Tattersalls' Committee will govern the settlement of bets should a situation arise not covered by these rules.

Ante-Post

Ante Post prices are those offered on horse racing prior to the overnight declaration stage (usually 10.00am on the day before the race). Unless otherwise stated at the time of acceptance, ante-post bets are accepted on the basis of 'all-in run or not' and 'all-in enter or not'. Selections not taking part in the race/event concerned count as losers. Bets placed after the overnight declaration stage on selections which do not take part will be void and stakes will be returned. If a race is postponed to another day and overnight declarations stand, then Ante Post bets stand. However, Single Ante Post bets on horse racing will be made void and any selection involved in accumulative bets will be treated as a non-runner if: The race is abandoned. The race is officially declared void. The conditions of the race are altered after bets are made (as defined under Tattersalls' Rules). A horse is balloted out under Jockey Club Rules of Racing. The venue is altered. The running surface is altered (e.g. Turf to Dirt / All Weather or vice versa)

Late Withdrawals

Where a horse is withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders, or is officially deemed by the Starter to have taken no part in the race, stakes will be returned on the withdrawn horse and winning bets will be subject to deductions in accordance with Tattersalls' Rule 4(c). The rate of deduction will be based on the following scale:- Current price at withdrawal Deductions in the pound.
·1    3/10 or lower £0.75
·2    3/0 to 2/5 £0.70
·3    2/5 to 8/15 £0.65
·4    8/15 to 8/13 £0.60
·5    8/13 to 4/5 £0.55
·6    4/5 to 20/21 £0.50
·7    20/21 to 6/5 £0.45
·8    6/5 to 6/4 £0.40
·9    6/4 to 7/4 £0.35
·10 7/4 to 9/4 £0.30
·11 9/4 to 3/1 £0.25
·12 3/1 to 4/1 £0.20
·13 4/1 to 11/2 £0.15
·14 11/2 to 9/1 £0.10
·15 9/1 to 14/1 £0.05
·16 15/1 and higher no deductions made
In the event of two or more horses being withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders, the total deductions shall not exceed £0.75 in £.
Should a horse be withdrawn and a new market formed, then any bets laid at 'Show' prices prior to the new show will be subject to the above deductions. In the event of a further withdrawal after the market has been re-formed, bets placed at 'Show' prices in the original market will be subject to a further deduction based on the price of the withdrawn horse in the original market. Bets placed in the new market will be subject to a deduction based on the current price.

Morning Prices

In the event of a non-runner stake monies will be returned on same and Tattersalls Rule 4(c) will apply to all remaining horses. Should the withdrawn horse be greater than 14/1 then no Rule 4 will apply. Where the total deduction is 40p or more all "Morning Price" bets in the race concerned will be settled at S.P. odds.

Place Terms

Place only bets are not accepted . Re-Runs In the event of a false start etc. resulting in a race being re-run, 'Under Starters Orders' is negated and stakes will be refunded on horses taking no part in the re-run, with returns on the remaining runners subject to Tattersalls' Rule 4(c). The number of runners taking part in the re-run governs Place terms. Walk-Overs and Void Horse Races
Walkovers and void races count as races but any horse so involved will be treated as a non-runner for settling purposes. Favourites Bets for the un-named favourite in horse races are accepted as win only. Where two or more runners are returned at the same shortest odds i.e. joint or co-favourites, stakes will be divided and invested equally on each runner. Should the favourite be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders but too late for a new market to be formed, bets involving the favourite are void. Forecast Betting (First and Second) Forecasts are accepted on horse racing for named selections as a Computer Straight Forecast (CSF) (correct order) in races of 3 or more runners. The CSF is a computer-generated dividend based on the Starting Prices of all runners in a race. The CSF dividend is declared to a £1 stake. Should a Starting Price not be returned, forecast bets will be void, win or lose, and stakes refunded.
In races where a horse finishes alone, all Forecast bets nominating that horse to finish first will be settled as a Win single at Starting Price on the winning horse. All other Forecast bets in the race are lost. Should a non-runner be selected in a Forecast bet, the bet will be settled as a Win Single on the remaining selection. In reversed or combination Forecasts, each Forecast is treated separately. In the event of two or more horses "dead heating" for first or second place, separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying forecast.
Forecast doubles and trebles are accepted, but accumulators are not accepted on horseracing. Tricast Betting (First, Second and Third) Tricast bets require the selection of the first, second and third in correct order. The Tricast dividend is a computer-generated dividend based on the Starting Prices of all runners in a race. The Tricast dividend is declared to a £1 unit stake. Tricast betting is generally offered in handicap races of 6 or more runners, where full race by race results are announced by SIS and from time to time, in certain other races providing the result and return are announced by SIS.
Where the actual runners fall below 6, or a Tricast is not declared, the bet will be settled as a Computer Straight Forecast on the first two selections in the order as given, with the third selection disregarded. A Tricast containing a non-runner will be settled as a Computer Straight Forecast on the remaining selections in the order as given and in the case of two non-runners will be settled as a win single at Starting Price on the remaining selection.
In the event of two or more horses "dead heating" for first, second or third place, separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying Tricast.
Tricast doubles, etc are not accepted.

Greyhound Racing (Maximum Winnings, £100,000)

Results All bets on Greyhounds placed via the Website are placed on the Trap Number and not the named Greyhound. This is displayed on your bet confirmation. Payment will be made on the official result of races. Bets will be void in the event of no Starting Price being returned. Sean Graham reserves the right to declare void any bets where it considers there to be reasonable suspicion or evidence of unfair price manipulation.

Each Way Betting

The place part of each-way bets in races of 5 to 7 runners will be settled at 1/4 odds for the first and second and in races of 8 runners at 1/5 the odds for the first, second and third. In races of less than 5 runners, the place part goes on to win. Place only bets are not accepted.

Forecasts

Any forecast which includes a non-runner will be settled as a Win Single on the remaining selection. In the event of two or more greyhounds "dead heating" for first or second place, separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying forecast.
We accept Forecast doubles and trebles. Forecast accumulators are not accepted.

Tricasts

Tricasts will be settled according to the Starting Price Computer Tricast returns for eligible races. The Tricast dividend is a computer-generated dividend based on the Starting Prices of all runners in a race. The Tricast dividend is declared to a £1 unit stake.

Re-Runs and Void Races

Where a race is re-run all bets stand, however, where a Price has been taken, settlement will be at the Starting Price returned on the re-run. Should a race be declared void and not re-run, all selections will be treated as non-runners.

Maximum Winnings

Maximum Winnings per person per day is £100,000 (or currency equivalent) on all BAGS and BEGS racing. The following winnings limits exist on evening racing at these tracks: £25,000 Wimbledon £15,000 Crayford, Hove, Romford, Walthamstow and Catford £5,000 Portsmouth, Harlow, Perry Barr, Poole, Monmore, Brough Park, Milton Keynes, Sittingbourne, Yarmouth, Sheffield, Sunderland, Oxford, Hall Green, Swindon, Nottingham and Belle Vue. £1,000 Henlow, Peterborough, Reading and Rye House..

Football Rules (Maximum Winnings, £50,000)

Acceptance

Bets are accepted only on matches where Sean Graham offers prices and all winning bets will be settled at accumulative odds based on the individual prices shown on our website coupons. In the event of a bet being accepted that contains a match for which no quotation has been made, that match will be treated as a 'non-runner' and the remaining selections will be settled.   All odds are subject to fluctuation and amendment and are based on the result at full-time. The terms 'full-time', '90 minutes play' and 'normal time' are all used to denote the period of play which includes time added by match officials for stoppages, but not scheduled extra time, penalty shoot-outs etc. Settlement will be at the price prevailing at the time the bet was placed and confirmed. Dates and kick-off times of matches shown on our coupon are for guidance purposes only. Bets will be accepted up to the advertised kick-off time. If a bet is inadvertently accepted which includes a match after its actual kick-off time, the match will be treated as a 'non-runner' and the remaining selections will be settled irrespective of the minimums detailed We reserve the right to refuse the whole or part of any bet. No postal, telex or fax wagers are accepted.

Minimum Selections

The minimum number of teams allowed in any football bet is as advertised or as detailed at the head of each list on our website coupons. Incomplete lists will stand provided the minimum requirements are met. Bets which do not meet the minimum requirement for the list nominated will stand provided the bet is acceptable for another website coupon. A line that does not meet the minimum requirements will be void or reduced to include only the valid selections. A valid entry consists only of valid matches and matches already resolved on preceding days will not count as such to make up minimum requirements.

Postponed or Abandoned Matches

An unplayed, postponed or abandoned match will be treated as a 'non-runner' for settling purposes unless it is played during the same 'football week' (Monday - Monday (GMT/BST Time)), in which case the bet will stand unless cancelled by mutual consent. If 'non-runners' reduce an accumulator, the remaining selections will be settled irrespective of the minimums detailed . Under no circumstances will the judgement of any 'Pools Panel' be accepted as a result. Any match which is abandoned before the completion of 90 minutes play will be void with the remaining selections settled irrespective of the minimums detailed in Rule 2. This ruling applies to all lists with the exception of bets involving 'First Player to Score' where bets will stand provided a goal has been scored at the time of abandonment

Re-Arranged Matches

In the event of a change of venue not published or made known to us at the time coupons are published, bets will stand provided the venue is not switched to the opponents' ground, in which case selections for that match will be made void. If a team plays a different opponent to the one stated on the coupon, that selection will be void and the remaining selections will be settled irrespective of the minimums detailed . Where a customer has nominated a team to beat a different opponent to that scheduled, the bet will stand for the selection's scheduled match. Where a draw has been nominated with no qualifying price laid, the selection will be void and the remaining selections must fulfil the minimums detailed .

Handicap List

For the purpose of deciding results on the Handicap List, a number of goals (or half-goals) is added to, or subtracted from, the total goals scored by the away team. Settlement on the Handicap List will be at the special odds shown alongside its matches, using the actual score in the match adjusted for the "handicap"

Double Result (Half Time/Full Time or 45/90 Betting)

Bets predicting the Double Result must indicate the result at both Half-Time and Full-Time.

Correct Scores

Bets must predict the score at the end of normal time and will be available on selected matches. Extra Time and penalty shoot-outs do not count . Odds for league and cup matches in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and other countries where we specifically advertise that correct scores will be available will be determined by our Correct Score Chart  .  Correct score betting for European Cup competitions (i.e. Champions League, UEFA Cup etc.) and International matches will be covered by a separate chart  . Where special odds are advertised in our shops, published in the press or printed on the front of our football coupons they will supersede those printed on any chart . Where the quoted Match Odds contain a price not shown on the correct score chart, the next highest price on the chart will apply .

First / Last Player to Score

Every effort will be made to quote First/Last Player to Score odds for all possible participants. However, other players will count as winners should they score the first/last goal. Bets on players not taking part in the match will be void as will bets on 'first player to score' where the selection comes on after the first goal is scored. All players that take part in a match will be considered 'runners' for last player to score purposes. In the event of a dispute over the award of a goal for first / last scorer betting purposes, settlement will be based on the goalscorer listed in the results section in each of the British national newspapers (including the Racing Post) and decided by a majority verdict. In the case of a Saturday match, the result will be determined by the Sunday national newspapers, plus the following Monday's Racing Post. Settlement will be based on final editions and where a newspaper does not include a goalscorer in its results section, it will not count towards the majority verdict. If the results sections of the British national newspapers do not contain the names of the goalscorers for matches outside the UK, then settlement will be based on information obtained from the national newspapers of the relevant country.

Anytime Goalscorer

This bet involves predicting whether a particular player or specified team will score a goal at   anytime during a match . Bets will stand until the final whistle and not include any Extra Time played . If for any reason a match is abandoned before the final whistle  ,  stakes will be refunded irrespective of whether the nominated player has scored or not . Own Goals Do Not Count  . Multiple bets involving anytime scorers in the same match are accepted . For anytime scorer bets , any player taking part in the match will be deemed a runner .

Scorecasts

This bet involves predicting who will score the first goal and what the score will be in the double . Given that the two components of this double are related , the scorecast is offered at specified  , discounted odds . In the event of the nominated scorer not having entered the field of play prior to the first goal being scored , the stake is automatically placed as a single on the correct score . Own goals do not count and in the event of the first/last goal being an own goal then the scorecast will be settled on the correct score coupled with the next goalscorer . If there is only an own goal in the match , then the bet will be settled as a single on the correct score .

Outright Betting

Where odds for OUTRIGHT win as well as 90 MINUTES play are offered in Cup Finals etc., unless 'to win outright' or a qualifying price has been selected, all bets are settled on 90 minutes play.

Divisional Betting

In divisional betting, with the exception of Serie A, the finishing position of teams at the end of the scheduled programme of matches will determine placings with no allowance for play-offs or subsequent enquiries by the respective leagues. In Serie A teams tied on the same number of points are not separated by goal average/difference. Therefore play-offs will count when the finishing positions of the teams are determined. The scheduled programme for the Scottish Premier League consists of 38 matches.

Tennis (Maximum Winnings, £50,000)

Outright Betting: All in compete or not.
Match and Set Betting: In the event of a match starting but not being completed all match and set betting will be void. In the event of a change in the total number of sets played match bets will stand, but set betting will be void. For example, a match originally designated as 'best of 5 sets' reduced to 'best of 3 sets' because of inclement weather. Bets placed after the semi-final stage will be classified as match bets, and in the event of the match starting, but not being completed, will be declared void. In the event of any of the following circumstances taking place all bets will stand.
1.   A change of playing surface.
